OMG I Own a Yarn Shop

I have always dreamed of owning my own yarn shop. One of the greatest loves in my life is knitting and fiber. This is a huge opportunity for me and my family's future.Wish me luck!

I am in love with sock yarn. So therefore I must have a sock yarn WALL!

~

It's just the beginning.

I have a lot of great help and some of the most wonderful teachers and artists around.

You can never get enough roving!

 ~

We also have a most awesome tea room and even carry and serve The Art of Tea in many blends.

I had the greatest pleasure of meeting some of the top support spinners around! It was amazing and inspiring to watch them spin!

We even had the famous Fleegle join us! I can't wait for her to teach a class for us.

She is definitely awesome!

I am so into support spindles.

This is my first support spindle by The Viking Santa. He does amazing work.

~

Ya, these ladies had gorgeous spindles.

 THIS. I want bad.

A Lorax spindle. Yes, please. Bristlecone rocks!

~

I have started my Christmas knitting.

I've learned to ply with beads. This is handspun with alpaca and Corriedale.

Who knew I would be so proud of a towel! I learned how to weave. With a lot of help. We have some awesome looms in the shop. I would love to have table runners and towels throughout my house. Oh the plans I have...

My oldest and beautiful daughter turned 18. Wow, it is seriously weird to have an adult child. When I look at her, I will always see her in the cute little dresses that were frilly,  her curly little ringlets, and those brightest most amazing smiles.  Now she is an amazingly strong woman who makes her momma proud.

I love you so much Daryn.

My Star Scout. He has accomplished so much since we've moved here. He is now working towards his Eagle.

Kailen, you are definitely awesomesauce!

Last but not least, we had to say goodbye to our beloved Bandit. I will miss his little black face and his chirpy purr. I miss you my little man who guarded my pillow.

On a personal note, life can be very hard and unexpected things may happen. When you think there is no way to get through another day, life kind of forces you through. I am thankful for the things that I have and the things that I don't. I have made my share of mistakes and accomplishments. I have learned from both. I believe one of the most important aspects of life is listening. Listen to your heart. Listen to nature. And sometimes listen to the silence. It may have wisdom in it.

As always, Knit On.
