A Crossover!

I am so proud of Kailen for crossing over to become a Boy Scout.

It was a beautiful ceremony.

~
This is Mr. Lyle Harp, Kailen's den leader.
~
He did a great job with the boys! Thank you Mr. Lyle! We will miss you greatly.
~

The boys earned their final awards and badges for their Cub Scout years.

~
In the Native American tradition, the parents painted their son's faces. Each color represented a different meaning.
~
Kailen was a bit unsure about this in the beginning.

~
As the meanings became apparent.....

~

He was proud to wear the colors.

He also received his Arrow Of Light

~

~
He lit a candle for his mother and one for his father.

It was a very sweet moment.
~

~

Kailen also gave me the honor of being pinned an Arrow Of Light.
~
A very somber moment when Kailen got to retire his first American Flag.

~
Always reminds me of my father and grandfather.

~
The tradition of burning the Arrow.

~
Congratulations to all the boys who crossed over!

My little warrior.

He was so proud.
