Squirrely Update
This is their new home. I put a bike basket inside and they LOVE it. I made little hammocks out of fabric and they love to sleep there.

They are getting nice and fat. Their names are Alvin, Simon, and Theodore.

They do like to be pet on their own terms. Usually not when they have a peanut in their mouth!

They really are super cute.

All three are males so there will be no reproducing.

This is the side view. It even has a little hatch to open for food.

The neighbors even enjoy feeding them when they stop for a visit.

Zoo Trip
I took the kids to the zoo this week. It wasn't as hot as it could be with the temperature reaching the high 80's. West Palm Beach's Dreyer Zoo, is one of the best around.

This is a peacock doing his mating call.

Can you spot the hidden child?

The fountains are one of the main attractions. It's great on a hot day.

Even the older kids enjoy it.

Off to the French Market
Now, only if that were true. Ah, the French Market. I made my first French Market Bag and I even felted it

I love love love this bag. I am giving it to my mom for Mother's Day. I used two skeins of Malabrigo in worsted weight, and the colorway was Cuarzo. I also ordered some Vermillion. Very soft and the smell is wonderful. Reminds me of dying Easter eggs. This is one of my favorite yarns. I used Red Heart to test some embroidery on it. I will be sewing a flower garden on one side of the bag. Will post pictures. I found this new yarn store that is absolutely fabulous. Cathy, the owner, is soooo nice and helpful. The amount of colors she has is unbelievable. AWESOME SHOP http://www.twistyarns.com/

It's Good to be Mommy
Every so often, the kids remind me how special it is to be a mother. I feel loved. Look what Daryn brought me on an ordinary day.
Squirrely Update

Ya, the buggers are up and moving around now. Still stinky. What to do with them, I don't know. They are more squirrel-like now. Do you know they are popular in Costa Rica.

Eggs and more Eggs
The Easter Bunny has arriven.

Oh, how money makes the Egg Hunt so much more exciting.
Let the chaos begin. Man, that Easter Bunny must be pretty tired after putting all of these pretty baskets together.

Wow, man, psychodelic baby!

Skate ramps are ideal for hiding eggs.
Maybe, counting your loot is better than finding them.
Sugey was the richest of them all.
I hope the kids had fun and will remember this forever.

Easter Flu Knitting
Tonight, The Easter Bunny will visit. The air is filled with excitement and anticipation. The kids have dyed about three dozen eggs.

Sugey Bear really enjoyed dying the eggs this year.

Ryan drew a dragon egg and Sugey was content with the stickers.

Daryn takes her time and is very meticulous with her eggs.

Of course, Kailen didn't want anyone to eat his eggs.

I wonder what gifts the Easter Bunny will be bringing. We shall see in the morning.

I have been busy dying of the flu. It's awful, especially when a holiday is coming. BUT, in my more lucid states of sickness, I have been knitting. A few rows here and there. This is my first pair of socks that aren't garter stitches the whole way. I have chosen a lace pattern from Knitty. It's called Vog socks, and I just LOVE the pattern.
