Grossology

This week was extremely active.

~

The kids got to visit the science museum in West Palm Beach.

The main exhibit was Grossology.

The kids seemed to like the putrid displays.

~

Boogers and all.......

Sugey especially liked the noises the displays made.

~

Daryn took her time with the different areas.

~

The museum also had their everyday exhibits as well.

The phosphorescent rocks were extremely cool and pretty to look at.

Bubble machine

More rocks.

Mummy display. This was an actual child.
~
Lots of tanks filled with eels and lobsters and assorted others.
~
~
~
Love all the shells. So awesome.
~
Sugey loved turning the wheel to look at all the bug parts.

~
~
~
They even had an outside area for a nature trail.
~
Who can resist a model train set up.
~
Echo machine
~
Weird mirror area that was freaky.
~
Love this tree.

~

After the museum, Terri and I took the kids to Sugar Sands Park in Boca. It's the best park in the world.

You can actually crawl in this head and look through.

~

Overall, the week was packed with things. Kind of exhausting. (:

Old Fashioned Ice-Cream

We took a twenty minute trip to the best Ice Cream parlor in Florida.

Jackson's Ice Cream Parlor in Dania Beach Beach, Florida.
Over 50 Years in Business. My mom even worked there when she was a teenager.

~

I thought the sign on the door was extremely funny.

~

They have wrought iron chairs in the front with ride on stuff for the kids.

~

Picture taking decorations too.

Home of the Kitchen Sink which serves four or more. Or, you can order the punch bowl which serves 12 for $89.95!

~

Now for the good stuff!

I got a three scoop banana split. They make their own cola which is super sweet. They also give you bowls of popcorn before the ice cream comes.

Random Ice Cream Pictures

~
Kailen got the mint chocolate chip.
~

~

They have really cool stuff all over the walls, old fashioned things from bikes to license plates.

~

Each time we go, it's a treat to let the kids pick out a few candies. I always get something cinnamon.

~

It's mostly candy that you can't find in a regular store. I love the wax lips.

Mommy Love

This week has been pretty good. From Wannado, to Cub Scouts, park day with snowcones and coming up Saturday, is the Mother-Daughter tshirt craft at the library.

After park day, Sugey STILL wanted to go outside. See the pretty flowers he picked and put in my hair! I love being a mommy. It was nice. I had my Sugar Bear, a cold beer, and my knitting.

~

I did finish my Mommy and Me Autumn socks. That's a Sugey and Mommy foot.
~
Today was the pack meeting. Kailen is really starting to like it.

We have camping in November.
~
This week, Kailen has been listening to this audio book.
~
So as part of my knitting swap, I was asked what were the planned costumes of this year for the kids and I. Well, I don't have an answer yet, but I can share last years photos
Sugey was Buzz-Lightyear

Kailen was ninja boy.

Ryan was some undead creature. (:

Daryn was a pirate princess.

It seems like this year, the kids have gotten so much older. They grow right before your eyes and sometimes you don't even notice....

Wannado City

Monday, we went to Wannado City.
It is a theme park where the kids can do any job and get paid for it. In Wonga money of course.

Sorry for the yucko pictures. Of course I forgot to bring my camera, so I had to rely on my cell phone.

~

There were dinosaurs throughout the park.
This one looks kind of gruesome.

~

Daryn and Sugey near the firetruck. You can actually be a firefighter and put out fires.
Here's Kailen as a firefighter.
He's the one in front that you can barely see.
~
They also have ambulances that you can ride around in.
The hospitals range from human ones, to animal ones.

Here is a hospital with a maternity ward.

~

More dinosaurs.

~

Here is Ryan working in the supermarket.

Kailen's job was a shopper.

~

Daryn took Sugey around to a lot of the jobs. Here is the Motorola office.

There were so many other jobs that I couldnt get on the camera. They have a gem mining place, a coca cola plant, a clown college, modeling, acting, CNN, radio broadcaster, a pilot in an airplane, and even a kid club to dance in. I really like Wannado. It's a great place for kids.
